The CV joint, also known as a constant velocity joint is an automobile coupling device that serves as the centre link between two shafts rotating at similar angular velocities. It is commonly used in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive cars to transmit torque from one side of the differential gear to the other, with little power loss due to friction.
